Praise be to God, the Possessor of honor and majesty, who makes clear through the tongue of His Prophet what is forbidden from what is forbidden and what is permissible from what is permissible... As for what follows, engaging in knowledge is one of the best deeds... I wrote a book in it according to the doctrine of the respected Imam and the favorite rabbi, Abu Abdullah... in it I combined the convincing with the satisfactory revision... and I added to its issues what appeared to me... so I wrote a book explaining it in an explanation that clarifies its facts. - This means that his ruling is the ruling of a non-Muslim if he breaks the covenant. He mentioned it in Al-Mukhtab and limited it to Al-Furoo’... The first part of Sharh Al-Muntaha of the compiler was completed, thanks to God and His good grace, at the hands of the least deedful and most sinful of God’s servants, the one who confesses his sin, his servant Muhammad bin Salih bin Rashid bin Majli... The completion of its writing was on Monday morning of the month of Dhul-Hijjah in the year one hundred and nine after the thousand...
