Zaid bin Abi Anisa's servant, Ahmad told us, saying: I heard Yahya bin Ma'in say: Zaid bin Abi Anisa is trustworthy, and Yahya bin Ma'in was asked about the hadith of Malik, on the authority of Zaid bin Abi Anisa, on the authority of Abdul Hamid bin Abdul Rahman bin Zaid bin Al-Khattab, on the authority of Muslim bin Sayyar Al-Juhani, that Omar was asked about this verse: When your Lord was taken from the sons of Adam... - Mukhaled bin Hussein, Ahmed and Mukhaled said... He said, Omar bin Abdul Aziz wrote to us, but after that, the people of jurisprudence passed by. And knowledge is from your soldiers, let them spread what God has taught them in their mosques and gatherings, and peace be upon them. Amr ibn Maymun ibn Mahran told us, Ahmad told us, Abdullah ibn Jaafar told us, Abu Al-Malih told us, on the authority of Amr ibn Maimoun, he said: Omar ibn Abdul Aziz said to me, “Do you count the verses in prayer?” I said: No. He said: Neither do I. It will be recited in the fiftieth part, God willing. Zaid bin Abi Anisa, his freed slave. Praise be to God as He deserves His praise, and may God’s blessings be upon the best of His creation, Muhammad, the Prophet, his family, and his companions.
