This is a letter that I have called clarifying the ruling on the judge’s dismissal of a claim of injustice, and the motive for writing it is an incident that happened to me in the lands of the Attic Sultanate of Constantinople... The incident is that I filed a claim against a judge from the court of Al-Quds Al-Sharif... before the ruler of Sharia... the judge of military judges in the kingdoms. Guarded by the Romans...and its image is what I called upon the range agent who said that his beneficiary took from me an amount of such and such in order to obtain for me and a group of known people what was proven for me and for them in his possession of money of a known amount from a debtor of ours who was judged for it and that he did not obtain any of that for us and I ask for the return of what he took there... — ...And the poor man, I did not intend by writing this letter to achieve my rights nor to show to the eminent persons my virtue and sincerity, but rather I intended the face of God to remove this suspicion... And God Almighty knows best
