Basmalah, praise be to God who has bestowed the laws of the Noble Sharia and exalted its beacon... And then Al-Wathiq says to his master, Muhammad bin Abdullah, when I saw the desires tending to precise abbreviations, desiring simple books, I wanted to write a text containing many of the issues of the texts... and I called it Enlightening the Eyes and Jami’ Al-Bihar... - in knowing the share of each group, leaving the total debts as a correction, and leaving each debt as shares of an heir and a righteous person among the heirs and creditors. Some of it was subtracted, then the remainder was divided among the shares of those who remained, and God Almighty knows best what is correct.
