The Basmalah, may God’s blessings and peace be upon our Master Muhammad and his family and companions. Surah (Al-Shu’ara’) is Meccan except for the aforementioned verses, as narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, and his saying: “Has there not been a sign for them... And his saying that the oud is disliked is an explanation for the lack of pure tilt, and by it he means that the Alif is inverted... — ... and I regretted abandoning trade, not to mention not profiting from the loss... Make the Qur’an the spring of our hearts and the light of our sight and insight. He who hopes for something generous will not be disappointed. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family and companions.
