Praise be to God, who gathered together the various sciences with the splendor of His wisdom... and opened the locked levers of His guidance... He revealed it with the most eloquent meaning, the best order, and the most concise and most eloquent speech... And after that, when it was the year eighty-two after the thousand, and God Almighty blessed the journey to Thebes... God Almighty increased it with light... There a group of its eminent people accompanied me in reading the seven recitations... - May God’s blessings and peace be upon all the prophets and all, and upon us with them according to the number of your knowledge, Amen... This honorable copy was published by the care of God Almighty on a Sunday in the month of the end of Dhul-Qa’dah in the months of the year two hundred and thousand and fifty-seven after the migration of the Prophet... in Mecca Al-Mukarramah, God Almighty honored it until the Day of Resurrection... There is no power nor strength except in God, the Most High, the Great... Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.
