The basmala, and with it we seek help, and to Him I repent. Praise be to God who has enabled us to realize the meaning of the universe of knowledge... The poor wretch says... Al-Qunawi, the Hafiz Ismail bin Muhammad Al-Qunawi... Indeed, His knowledge in eternity is related to things before they existed as they were... — ... as the claim is stripped of the religion of the obscure and the custom of the arrogant. Praise be to God Almighty for completing this elegant message at the time of the forenoon of the Monday of Jumada al-Akhir in the year 1140. I completed editing it in the afternoon on Saturday in the year 1143.
