The Basmalah, the key to all of Karim’s books, praise be to God who brought creation into being from nothing, taught man what he did not know, showed goodness and guidance, and commanded what is in the servant’s righteousness and forbade what is against it... And then the poor servant says, “To the kindness of his Almighty Lord, Mr. Muhammad Al-Kumaljanwi... — ...and I refer to his detachment from time by saying, ‘And in his possession. You wrote us happily, so we proved... Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, first and last, and prayers be upon his beloved Muhammad the Chosen One, outwardly and inwardly, and upon his family and companions forever and always, and by His grace good deeds are accomplished and calamities are removed.
