In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, the interpretation of Surat (Al-Furqan), the statement regarding the interpretation of his saying, may His praise be glorified and sanctified be His names (Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His servant, that he may be a warner to the worlds)...... On the authority of Abdullah bin Abbas, he said: Blessed... from the blessing, and it is according to the saying of the one who said, “Hallowed be our Lord.” His saying: (Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion) says: Blessed is He who sent down the separation between truth and falsehood, chapter after chapter, and Surah after Surah, upon His servant. Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace.... - On the authority of Qatadah (Ham), he said: It is one of the names of the Qur’an, and others said: It is letters, so others came and said.
