The Basmala, said Abu Al-Faraj Zain Al-Din Abdul Rahman... bin Rajab Al-Hanbali, may God have mercy on him. Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and all his companions. Now, these are brief words about the meaning of knowledge and its division into useful knowledge and useless knowledge, and the emphasis on the superiority of the knowledge of the predecessors over the knowledge of the successor... - ...and the forbidden tricks due to which we avoid the doors of usury and other forbidden things and make God’s forbidden things permissible...and God’s guidance. Those who believe because of the truth about which there is disagreement, that God guides whom He wills to a straight path...And God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. The poor man attached it to God, Ahmed bin Muhammad Rand, and it was finished...the eighteenth of the month of Safar in the year eight hundred and thirty-four.
