Basmalah, praise be to God for what He has bestowed, and for teaching what we do not know of the statement, and blessings be upon our master Muhammad, the best of those who speak the truth and the best of those who are given wisdom and the decisiveness of speech... Since the science of rhetoric and its subsidiaries is among the most valuable and most accurate of the sciences, since with it he knows the subtleties of Arabic and its secrets, and reveals the aspects of the miracle in the compositions of the Qur’an, its secrets, and it was the third section of the Muftifa al-Ulum compiled by the eminent Imam, the scholar Abu Yaqoub Yusuf Al-Sakaki - may God have mercy on him. On him - the greatest of what has been written about it... - Among the writer’s words is this chapter, and the third of them is the conclusion, as in his saying: And I am worthy when I conveyed my wish to you, and you are worthy of what I hoped from you, so if you give me a favor from you, then deserve it, otherwise I am excused and grateful. The best of it is when he announces the end of the speech, such as when he says: “Eternity remains, O cave of its people,” and this is a comprehensive supplication for the wilderness. All the beginnings and endings of the surahs are mentioned in the best and most complete way. This appears by contemplating and remembering the principles mentioned above.
