Praise be to God alone. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family. May God prolong the life of the upright jurist, the most righteous leader, Sir Idris al-Sarraj. May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you. For the goodness of our Lord, may God support him and grant him victory. And after, sir, we inform you of the issue of this tax from the children of Hajj al-Zam. They surrounded our ploughmen, those who came into contact with him by eating with livestock and beans, with their children, male and female, and we finished with them time after time, and they are not permitted to do so. Their brothers are against us. Among other things, yesterday they sent back the plowmen complaining about their belongings, so we prayed for them, so they left us the plowing of chickpeas. When they spoke to them, they came out to them with evidence of strife, and a man who emerged from them had struck his drawing. And when they bade them farewell to the master of the chickpeas, the complainant who had come to you spared them, and if he mentioned to you, “My master is injured, we love you.” Bring your companion to his presence until he sees you. He brings the truth before you to see it from immorality. May God bless you and grant us peace. Your servant, Sheikh Al-Tahami bin Abdullah Al-Sakhrti, may God grant him security and grant him success, Amen
