The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) The jurist (...) Abd al-Wahhab bin Ahmad bin Abd al-Karim, known as Ibn Rushd al-Marrakashi, said (...) Take the matter from nearness and away from distance *** For nearness are things that indicate maturity. Take the stone thrown on the ground and the dirt *** and turn them into oil to relieve you of toil. They are two stones, may God bless them *** If they come together, they become like butter. And the third of them is the one suspended in passion. *** It is called the incense of the earth, so conceal it and do not reveal it (...) The commentator, may God Almighty have mercy on him, said: This is to take the hot rusty lime referred to in his saying.
End of the manuscript: He closed it tightly and lit a fire under it from time to time. He took it down from the fire to cool it and poured water over it and mixed it with water and left it until it dissolved and moistened. Draw it with a clot and tie it. Peace and blessings of God be upon our master and master Muhammad.
