Praise be to God, our lover, the earthly and most uplifted jurist, Mr. Idris Al-Sarraj, may God’s peace and mercy be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. And after you receive with its bearer, the student, Mr. Belaid Al-Sousi Al-Alaf, thirteen mithqals of the price of a turnip and a calf in the gardens of Ain Al-Khamis, so give them on your hand to the trustees. May God bless you and love and peace, Jumada 1, 24, 1278. The runner-up of the high station in God, Farji, praise be to God, the trustees of our master, may God grant him victory. Take possession of the above pot from the hand of the bearer above, and respond with a delivery to you. Peace be upon the above date. Idris al-Sarraj, may God grant him peace. Praise be to God alone, our beloved, dearest, earthly, blessed, sir, Idris al-Sarraj. May God’s peace and mercy be upon you for the goodness of our master, may God support him. And after the thirteen mithqals mentioned above have arrived and reached their place. Peace be upon the 24th of Jumada al-Ula, 1278. The trustees of Fez, may God grant them peace.
