Notes Praise be to God alone. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our Master and Master Muhammad, his family and companions, our dearest earthly love, and the servant of our Master Mortada, the eminent jurist, Sir Muhammad Ibn Talib. May God’s glory be with you. May God’s peace and mercy be upon you for the goodness of our Master. May God preserve his glory and victory. As for what follows, let it be in your honor that I wrote about the mule and the needs that were with the servants of Dawud and Ali, and they said that the mule was possessed by the Banu Yazgha, and now send it to its owner. And he goes to his brothers, and if they capture it, he takes his belongings, and if they lie (amputation), I caught one of them in prison, and they told me that two of them came to an axe, and here I sent my companions to seize them with an axe, and now strengthen them until you seize the tyrant who sought corruption in the land, and we love and serve you because you have favored God with knowledge and reason, and we are a substitute for you, and may God bless us with your life and protect us and protect you from the calamities of the whole world, and peace, and on the 29th of Shaban in the year 1274
