Praise be to God alone, our earthly love, the leader, Mr. Allal Al-Shami. May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you for the goodness of our master, may God grant him victory. Then the bearer will return his face to you, Mr. Abdul Salam bin Abdul Karim, who was arrested for the measure of barley that was returned to the happy harry from him. He directed him to the secretaries with the harry and instructed them to receive what comes from the caravans and not to ignore it. A caravan arrived yesterday evening and did not find anyone with the harry and stayed at the hotel. The trustees should assign one of their companions to accompany the harry to find whoever He received something from someone who possesses it from him, and the trustees write that so-and-so received such-and-such of barley on such-and-such day, to complete the receipt of what is there, and to be careful in measuring it, and with love and peace, on the 11th of Rajab in the year 1264, Al-Arabi bin Al-Mukhtar, may God be gracious to him and be kind to him.
