The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) Praise be to God who has distanced himself from purposes in actions and rulings (...) And then he says (...) Yusuf bin Sheikh Ismail Al-Safti Al-Maliki (...) I have heard many people chanting in the phrase, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, “Friend one another, love one another,” so it is read with the dhammah of the dāl even though the correct thing is that it is opened with it (...) So this rule was organized with the rule of the past and present tense in seventeen verses from Bahr Al-Basit (...) I called it Contentment in the defective verb if it is called “waw” by the group. Then some of the brothers looked at it and asked me to put an explanation on it that clarifies its meaning, so I responded to that.
End of the manuscript: Praise be to God who has guided us to this, and we would not have been guided had God not guided us (...) Compiling this explanation was completed on the blessed Monday of the fifth of the holy month of God, Muharram, the opening of two hundred and one thousand and twenty-four AH (...) and the completion of writing it was on Sunday morning, the twenty-fourth of the month of Jumada al-Awwal in the year 1292, and the completion of writing it was also on the night of Thursday, which is the twentieth of the glorious month of Shaban in the year 1337, and the last of our supplications. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.
