Notes Praise be to God alone, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his family, our lover, our goal, our conqueror, the earthly, the most sublime, the servant of the highest station in God, Sir Idris al-Sarraj, may God grant you success and care, and may God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you in the presence of our Lord, may God grant him victory. And after my master, know that we were here, why did we stop at one pair after another, adbalaj, and we assigned them Abd al-Salam Barrada and his brother Muhammad Barada to buy for us in the market, and they distributed them to us and mentioned to us that we were required to have seventy-five in it? And we left them with our brother and he saved them from it. When we arrived at the olive broom, we returned them to the Sultan’s Hundred, and we found, at the exact price, eight mithqals for the mithqal. We found among them fifty-two mithqals, and we directed them to you, along with what we had shown, so that you might look at them for the most valuable thing that lies in them. Know that we, sir, were coming to Taflalat. They bought us a share of the commodity and shared it with us in large quantities, and when we arrived We paid it to their brother and he sold it, and they bought another commodity, and we accompanied them with it as well, and we paid it to them and they sold it, and it does not appear to us that it is little or much, and today we are asking them for nothing but our rent, and remember that this reward is something they have no idea about, so they briefly understood it, and now we would love from God and from you to separate us with them. May God bless you for us with the virtue of brotherhood and take away the fault in us and among them if they remain. And if what they say is their plea for us, because you know us in the cost, and you are the father of goodness, may God bless you for us. And on love and peace                        28 Rabi’ al-Awwal in the year 1284, Commander Abdullah bin Hamman, may God protect him.
