The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers and peace... And then the Sheikh and Imam, the scholar Badr Al-Din Al-Mardani... wrote a treatise on the work in Al-Rub’ Al-Mujib containing an introduction and twenty chapters that were difficult for some beginners to understand.
The end of the manuscript: This amount is sufficient, and praise be to God who guided us to this. We would not have been guided had God not guided us.... Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds. The footnote of the scholar Sidi Abd al-Rahman al-Tajouri was completed on the Mujib quarter of Sheikh al-Mardani... by his writer Abd al-Salam al-Wadrays al-Marjalawi... and its end coincided.. in the year 1310.
