Notes	Praise be to God alone And may God’s blessings be upon him who has no prophet. And after the place of our father, our blessing, and our refuge, the blessing of the Sufi, the eternal Pasha, Sidi Idris Al-Sarraj. May the Lord, Glory be to You and Your glory, and peace be upon you and the mercy and blessings of God Almighty. And after, let it be generous. Know, Your Excellency, that a man named Omar Al-Hayani Khammas in Al-Azaib and yesterday, the eve of the day, is in the possession of Al-Mushtamir. A man named Ali bin Abdul-Wahid Al-Ghafuki came to him, bearing seven uqiyahs. So he asked for it from him, and he replied that he had no dirhams, but he had the crops, so he refrained from delaying it and started pursuing him until he removed his hay and his mule in the presence of a group of Muslims who were listening to him and it would not end. Then the dispute between them broke out, so the men and women left the winter to find out between them, so he hit another man with a lira’s handle and wanted to hit his opponent, so he hit a woman with a stone, so the people recognized them and they brought Al-Hayyani into his house by force and they told him the storehouse of cows, so he fled to his family. And when they knew that you were punishing them by breaking the dignity of the single man, they hastened to wound one of them, and they came running ahead of no distress. And now the single man is your man, and if we are great, I will find you, and looking at you, I say in supplication, imitating the words of the poet: You remain for the rest of eternity, O cave of its people. And this is a comprehensive supplication for the wilderness. May your glory last in progress, love and peace, and on the fourth of Dhul-Qi’dah in the year 1289. The place of your son, Omar Al-Taudi bin Sawda, may God protect him and his master.
