Praise be to God alone And may God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad and the family of our beloved Pasha, Mr. Idris Al-Sarraj, may God protect you and take care of you, and may the peace and mercy of God Almighty be upon you, with the presence of our master, whose hand is his God and his victory, and may his presence and glory be perpetuated for us and for you. And after we have reached the dearest, your manuscript, we have read it and benefited from it. Your greetings and the perpetual well-being you are in. May the Lord Glory be to Him and upon you, and what you mentioned has become from us. And when this happened, you groaned for him and told us, “May God bless you for us. May God Almighty bless you. This is our belief in you and more from the side of love.” As for the reason for their delay, you were not provided with security for the bearers who are coming with you to the happy presence when they want to travel. We did not report to them, and the matter remained like this until you informed us. May God bless us with you and people like you, and the Beloved searches for the Beloved of God. He is kind to us and to you, the Sultan. And the son of the Sultan, Sidi Moulay Idris, completes for you what you wish for God and makes the matter good. You will receive from us khanashis inside the trough of the belongings of our master, may God bless him. The number of this is 092. You will also receive these couscous khanashis, 100, with what is used to be faithful to what is required. May God bless us with you, and this is our thought of you and of love and peace, and on the 12th of Jumada al-Awwal in the year 1278.
