Praise be to God alone. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our Master Muhammad and his family and companions. Our master the wise jurist Al-Basha Al-Asaad, Sidi Idris Al-Sarraj. May the peace and mercy of God be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord, may God support him. We will inform you, may God teach you well, that the group of people from the people of Sidi Al-Amin, some of whom fled to the barbarians and the rest are in distress with the brothers of Sheikh Ham. They are returning those who are against them, who have removed their cows from the state, and they are putting insults on them, so that they can be an excuse against them. Lying and debauchery, among other insults, is that Abd al-Salam ibn Ubb went to the forest, and I told him the honorable one from Abd Allah, and he said to him, “You have come to me.” So he said to him, “I did not attend. I am not doing well, and I do not have any respect for him.” Then he started hitting him with the axe on his wronged face, not on his wrong face. And because we are from God, then it is your goodness that you encourage them to do what they are at night, so that murder and sedition will not occur among them. For whoever wants them to travel to Fez will summon the one who has lust for him to heal him, then there is no reason for it, and if it is Truly, upon those whom you have appointed over me, I wish I could take it from him, and the news will come to you, and you will receive love and peace.
