The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our Master Muhammad, his family, and his companions. Sheikh Imam Al-Baraka Al-Qutb Al-Jami’, our master and lord, Sidi Muhammad bin Al-Faqih Ibn Al-Afiya Al-Sharif Al-Hasani, was asked about the secret of the point. The text of the question was addressed to His Eminence, the blessed Imam, Sheikh Al-Baraka, who knows God and the path of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, our master and blessing, Abu Abdullah Sidi Muhammad bin Al-Faqih Ibn Al-Afiya Al-Sharif Al-Hassani.
The end of the manuscript: It ended with the praise of God Almighty, and what I wrote is sufficient for whoever has a heart or listens and is a martyr. The virtues of a single name cannot be limited by any limit nor counted, and what we have written is sufficient. The poor servant wrote (...) Muhammad Ibn Al-Faqih Ibn Al-Afiya Al-Hasani, may God be his, and the completion of his writing was on the twenty-fourth of Shawwal in the year one hundred and twenty-seven (...) He finished writing (...) with his generosity to the straightest path.
