Praise be to God, the superintendent of Al-Qarawiyyin and all the other mosques and schools at that time, namely, the distinguished student and writer, Mr. Al-Mufaddal, the late president, Mr. Idris Al-Sarraj, and the land secretary, Hajj Ahmed bin Al-Amin, the late Hajj Al-Arabi Al-Sharat, acquired from the distinguished Sidi Muhammad bin the late Mr. Fadul Bel Bennis, all thirty riyals from the one who gave what he was assigned to receive from the endowments of the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque as a complete and tangible possession and released him of their aforementioned possession, so he was acquitted, and they knew its value. And in its entirety, their custom, and their erection, on the 9th of Qa’dah Haram in the year 1314
