The end of the manuscript: The second is the geometric ratio, which is the ratio of the first to the second as the ratio of the third to the fourth, how it was... In contrast to the numerical ratio, its quantity is different and its quality is equal, and it is called a geometric ratio because it is more specific to the quantities that the engineer considers, and the author of Artematiqi calls it the geometric mean, which is what is intended in the book... - The book * Lifting the Veil on the Faces of Arithmetic Works * is by Ibn al-Banna al-Marakshi al-Nadari, who died in 721 AH - 1321 AD. He had previously written * A Summary of Arithmetic Works * and then he explained its most basic works and explained its principles in * Lifting the Veil *
- Paper copy: This manuscript is a copy of an old copy, cut off at the beginning and end, and it also shows traces of dirt.
- Tamleekat: The title, author, and names of those whose ownership changed hands were written at the beginning of this copy: Ahmed bin Muhammad bin Issa bin Ahmed Al-Mawasi, then Muhammad bin Ahmed bin Al-Hajj, then Abd al-Rahman bin Abd al-Qadir al-Fasi, then Muhammad bin Abd al-Wahid bin Idris al-Mashat, then Muhammad bin Abi al-Fadl al-Khazraji al-Ansari al-Shami, then Muhammad bin Abd al-Hadi al-Manuni. Based on the comparison between what was written on the dhariya and what the scholar Al-Manuni wrote in his book about the Marinid civilization in describing one of the copies of the book, it seems likely to me that the origin of this pictorial is the Al-Manuni copy. There is another version, as mentioned, may God have mercy on him, in Oxford - Papers on the Marinid Civilization, p. 333 - Ibn Qunfud al-Qasantini - who died in 810 AH - 1408 AD - a contemporary of Ibn Zakaria Al-Gharnati had previously written an explanation that he called * Lifting the Veil on the Faces of Arithmetic Works *
