Praise be to God alone and may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad and his family in the place of our father, the upright jurist, Mr. Al-Tayeb Al-Bayaz. Peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you, for the goodness of our master, may God support him. And after your command, my dear sir. May God command him, pay to my master Omar and Ibn al-Yazid a watering of wheat from the tithes, and it is necessary, and with love and peace, on the 13th of Shawwal al-Abarak in the year 1257.
