Praise be to God, to God, our master, the Asaad Basha, may God’s peace and mercy be upon you, for the goodness of our master, may God grant him victory. And after that, the ten scales of gold coming down from Hazrat, our master, made of them for the thread, five and a quarter for the fingers, writing the knives, and two weighted ones, and a quarter, I made their receipt paper, and the rest is still under the hand of Hajj Al-Jalani, to be on the safe side. Twenty other scales are for gilding the silver of the pockets of the knives, and they are in dire need of them, and it is near, and peace be upon our master.
