The beginning of the manuscript: Praise be to God, who has guided His pious servants to sound words and good deeds, and who has tested them in this world by fighting Satan, the self, desires, and the love of money and prestige (...) Our brothers in God and our loved ones for God’s sake. Peace and mercy of God be upon you, and following what I command you and myself and warn you and me from the temptation of the world, the detestable raid that tempted the first and the last and distracted them from times of worshiping the Lord of the worlds.
The end of the manuscript: And the story of the man who was whispered by Satan about the possession of a needle, and he did not possess anything other than this world, and the whispering did not stop from him until he cast it as an example, and the saying of Ibn Ata Allah may have been mentioned (...) as God said, and whoever submits his face to God while he is a doer of good deeds has grasped the firmest handhold, so accept God’s command, and peace and God’s mercy be upon you. The message ended with praise and good help from God.
