Notes
Praise be to God, our lover and servant of our earthly Lord, Commander Farji. May God’s peace and mercy be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. After that, our Lord Al-Mansour Billah wrote to his son, the Caliph Al-Mu’ayyad Sidi Moulay Ahmed, may God protect him, presenting the evidence that the people of the Idrisiya Zawiya presented to Jarwan that they were the plunderers of the Sharada, to the judge. He will examine if you are correct. The judge will return Jadwan to the Zarahnahs for what they fined the Sharada. We directed the drawing of the aforementioned evidence to our Lord the Caliph, and we missed the news. And the representative of the people of Al-Zawiya is sitting here, frequenting us, and now here we are directing it to you with the letter we have received in the case so that you can inform him of the knowledge of our Master, the Caliph, may God bless him, and the work of what we are obligated to do, and on love and peace, on the 15th of Shaban in the year 1284. Idris Al-Sarraj Praise be to God alone, and to our beloved earthly jurist, Mr. Idris Al-Sarraj, the most precious peace and mercy of God, for the best of our Lord the Imam, may God grant him victory. After we directed the evidence to Judge Moulay Muhammad about Our Lord ordered the Caliph, may God protect him, to consult him, and he did not answer. It must be work, love and peace. On the 16th of Shaban in the year 1284, and the summer of high status, in God’s name, I was relieved.
