The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our master (...) Praise be to God, who made honest trade one of the best gains and the best demands. God made trading permissible and forbidden usury for every wanted person and seeker, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon the source of wisdom and the city of knowledge.
The end of the manuscript: This was said and written by the poor servant to God Almighty, Abu Salem Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Abi Bakr Al-Ayashi. Oh God, make our last words: There is no god but God, Muhammad is the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he wrote it at the beginning of the month of God, the Great Ramadan, in the year 1076 AH, and may God’s blessings be upon those after whom there is no prophet. Oh God, forgive us, our fathers, our elders, our loved ones, and those who said Amen.
