The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) Another interpretation of Al-Fatihah attributed to the righteous and divine guardian, Abu Abdullah, Sidi Muhammad bin Yusuf Al-Senussi, may God have mercy on him and benefit us through it, Amen. Praise be to God means praise for every ancient perfection or event of God, Blessed and Most High, alone.
The end of the manuscript: “Nor the lost” means “Aside from us, O Lord, the path of the lost,” that is, the lost ones who were deprived of guidance despite their ignorance of its path, like Christians and other ignorant people. May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions, and always be praised. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.
