The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) Praise be to God who chose those who preserved him from among His servants (...) and after him, some of those who were very careful, and who were followed by happiness and care, asked me about what the scholars narrated about the existence of the Abdal, the Nujaba, the Watad, and the Nuqabi, denying the existence of that from those who claimed.
The end of the manuscript: This is what was easy to gather in this nice letter from those honorable conditions. May God Almighty benefit us all with their blessings (...) Its author, may God Almighty forgive him, said (...) This was written on the morning of the seventeenth Sunday of the holy month of Ramadan, which is in the year nine hundred and eighty-one of the hijra of the envoy for each group (...) It was copied on Safar 20, 1289 by Alal bin Abdullah Al-Fassi.
