The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our Master and Lord Muhammad and his family and companions. These are issues that the learned jurist and scholar Abu al-Abbas Ahmad bin Ali al-Manjur, may God Almighty have mercy on him, were asked about. The first issue is: Is it correct to say that God Almighty is self-sufficient in Himself and in Himself independent of Himself?
The end of the manuscript: Praise be to God. Sheikh Al-Sarraj was asked about the one to whom there was a witness to justice with money, then he said the one to whom it was attested, “I gave it to people. So, on whom do you think, sir, the necessary oath is with him, the one who is attested for it, or the one for whom it is donated?” He replied: “The oath with the witness is based on the one for whom it is attested.” End of Al-Zayati’s line.
