The beginning of the manuscript: A sermon on the prohibition of drinking alcohol and the promises and threats God has prepared in it. Praise be to God who entrusted His servants with rulings to see how they act, and spread out for them tables of blessings and livestock, and forbade them some of what they desire. He is not asked about what he does while they are asked.
End of the manuscript: But God bears witness to what was revealed to you. He sent it down with His knowledge and the angels bear witness. God is sufficient as a witness. May God make me and you among the listeners who follow, and forgive me, you, and all Muslims. I have completed it, thank God, and there is no power nor strength except in God.
