The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) and to our Sheikh (...) Abu Abdullah Hamdoun bin Al-Hajj (...) The flower of a hill woke up Zahra *** or a wind with which Al-Zawraa fell asleep. And lightnings from Rama shone Umm ***, and we glimpsed her virgin face. Every time it spreads or flashes of lightning, my heart becomes fragile and my limbs shrivel.
The end of the manuscript: May the prayers be upon you as he wishes to hear *** The seal of praise is upon you beginning. And the fragrant greetings spread by what *** woke up Zahra Rabwa. It ended its copyist’s handwriting from the handwriting of its compiler, which in the last line of its copy reads: Its compiler says (...) Hamdun ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajj al-Maghribi, the region (...) in the honorable city at the earliest time (...) and its verses were based on the number of the people of Badr and the number of messengers, and it was completed on the 5th of Sha’ban 1206. May God accept it with good acceptance for the status of the one in whom it was created, may God bless him and grant him peace and his family.
