Notes
Praise be to God alone May God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions, Pasha Al-As’ad, the most glorious jurist, Sidi Idris Al-Sarraj. May God exalt your station with glory and adorn your days with happiness and obedience. May peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you for the best of our Lord, may God help him. As for what follows, let it be honorable for you to know that its bearer, the jurist and scholar, Sidi Al-Khayyat, has filed his lawsuit with Hajj Muhammad bin Idris Al-Zanati and his brothers Al-Arabi and Al-Mahdi. And Abdullah mentioned that they went to his side, plowed his barley, and spoiled some of the plants for him in the face of injustice and transgression, and that is when they came and promised to God Al-Ruki. When I arrested one of them and imprisoned him, he came to his remaining brothers and asked me to direct everyone to your high presence, by God, so that their chapter may be at your hands, thinking of the unfairness in judging them, and here I have submitted their case to your dearest position, and now if my master wants to fulfill their matter, let him see the drawings in the hand of the aforementioned jurist, and peace be upon 4 Shawwal of the year 1278, your successor, Si Muhammad bin Hamar Al-Aghzawi, may God bless him
