Notes	Notes: Sheikh Zanouf is a pseudonym for a jurist and writer from the city of Taza who spent an important part of his life in Fez as a student during the eleventh century (17 AD) in the last period of the Saadian state. He wrote this book in a comic style, imitating the style of Khalil al-Fuqhi’s brief, in which he depicted the lives of the horizon students who were living in the schools of Fez and were cut off from the usual connections, and he talked about their behavior, their toil for the sake of living, their games, their tricks, and their fun. He touched on the crafts that they practiced at that time and divided them into desirable ones, such as copywriting, tailoring, carpentry, and trade, and objectionable ones, such as knitting, cupping, tanning, and butchering. This book is unique in Moroccan writing in recent centuries. It contains historical and social material for those who study the history of education in Morocco in the modern era.
