Notes Praise be to God alone                And may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad, his family and companions, the servant of the highest station in God, the most honorable jurist, the most knowledgeable, the wisest ruler, the happiest, the most glorious, my master Idris al-Sarraj. May the peace and mercy of God be upon you, for the best of our Lord, may God grant him victory. And after we have received your dearest letter regarding the orientation of Muhammad the common-law and the son of Ibn Khadda, by God, besides whom there is no god, they are not in the city of Banu Ward, in no way or condition, and the aforementioned Muhammad lives in Maknasah. The jurist, Sayyed Muhammad Dobrah, and that they were Harithites with al-Qaid Muhammad Hakim Maknasah, and Ould Bin Khudah kept Harithah there with the barbarians, and God is a guardian of what we say, and that is more than the general thing that I have seen them, and whoever says, “By our Mudrasher, we have extended to him the hand to seize them by our Mudrashirs, even in the mosque, and whoever we enrage against them, if they are with us, then I will take them.” The matter of the Zarhanis and their hatred in this matter is not hidden from our master, and praise be to God for his watch and your presence. As for the saying of the Qaid, The beasts were perfect for Idris, who grew up defiant towards God. This is the situation in him, and he is a poor man, busy with the affairs of his religion and his world, not paying attention to anything else. And all the townspeople are known for the poverty, religion, and prosperity of the people of this master, especially the affairs of the Zarhanah. Do not hide from you, sir, and for the service of our master. May peace be upon you on the 24th of Safar in the year 1288.                  Your servant Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Waradi, may God grant him success.
