Praise be to God alone and may God’s blessings be upon our master Muhammad and his family, our master the jurist, the most glorious Pasha Al-Asaad, Sidi Idris Al-Sarraj. May God protect you and may God’s peace and mercy be upon you for the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. We have reached your dearest book regarding the woman Aisha bint Muhammad Al-Shatti. When the two men we have in the prison were imprisoned, one of them took out an old item from the women’s purses and began to destroy it in the prison. The prison owner took it from his hand and searched for what was left of the purses. He found among them some of the women’s belongings and put them under his hand until the woman came to him and the possessions took her belongings from the prison owner’s hand and stated that she had remaining possessions and they ordered that to be done in them under their hand with a spreader. Firstly, Yusuf was with a man of the prisoners, so they are under our hand until your letter arrives releasing him. Peace be upon you on the 3rd of Dhul-Qa’dah in the year 1284.
