Notes Praise be to God alone                                                          May God’s peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad, his family, and his companions, the lover and servant of our earthly master, the jurist, the most noble jurist, Mr. Idris Al-Sarraj, may God grant us and you success in what He loves and is pleased with. May God’s peace and mercy be upon you for the goodness of our master, may God support him and grant him victory. We have received your letter dated the ninth of Jumada Al-Thani in the year of its history, including the drawing of testimony against Mr. Abdel Latif Janbour, the representative of Francis, who responded to you and to Mr. Muhammad’s representative. Barqash Batanja and Mr. Abdel Salam Ahradhan, and you asked us to return it to the aforementioned Mr. Abdel Latif. Know that the aforementioned Mr. Abdel Latif was absent in the eastern region and did not come there until the twenty-eighth of Ramadan. As soon as he arrived, I paid him the aforementioned fee and took his handwriting from him. Here we are and directed it to you. This is a thought. And I know that the merchants who pay the salary of the military of our master who is in Oujda and we write to you that the trustees pay that to their partners in Fez complained against us and claimed that the trustees They pay their partners single dirhams and money, but that is a loss to them. Some of them claimed a loss of a weight of a weight, and some of them claimed more than that. I wrote to our master, may God grant him victory, to write to you to order the trustees to pay them the riyals as they pay them in Oujda or the Loys. He brought back to us his honorable answer that he wrote to you to order the trustees to pay them the Loyes and not pay them the individual dirhams or the money. Then they began to pay them the single dirhams and returned. They complain to us about the loss they have received, so we would like you to order them to collect from Mr. Muhammad bin Al-Akhdar the dirhams that they paid to him, and to pay him instead of the Louise, as our master, may God grant him victory, ordered, because what was paid here except the riyal and the Louise. May God reward you with goodness, and with love and peace, on the 28th of the Greatest Ramadan in the year 1284, Abd Rabbuh, Muhammad bin Omar Al-Daoudi, may God grant him success.
