Praise be to God alone, our most dear and earthly lover, our master of the Basha, Mr. Idris al-Sarraj, may God protect you and take care of you, and may God’s peace and mercy be upon you. Ankhair, our Lord, may God support him and grant him victory. And after, Sir, after we came to the presence of the Qaid al-Shibli two days, they came from Meknes, teaching two butchers, and the tribe began to raise. After that, a dispute arose between the group of people of the Arab people, the assessors, and after him, the butchers, so the Qaid spoke to everyone and agreed between them on the actual price, or a mithqal less than it in the offer. On the day of the raising, it appeared from them that they wanted to take it and raise it at the cheapest price, and a talk took place between them and Qaid, and his matter was raised to the High Presence of God with his companion, and with them were two butcher teachers, one from Meknes and the other from Fez, and two from the group of the people of the West, and to work according to what our master ordered, because the tribe did not want to pay the price of the people of the West, so we informed you of the reality so that you may be aware, and we are for service, love, and peace, and on the 20th of Muharram Fatih 1286.
