Notes	Rabat, October 23, 1945 From the Adviser to the Honorable Government to the Civil Controller and Head of the Administration of Municipal Services in Casablanca You have asked me, by letter No. 46523, to present to the consideration of His Excellency the Grand Vizier the proposal of the Committee of the Islamic Charitable Society stipulating an increase in the slaughter tax and raising the duty on a kilo of meat from 40 to one franc in order to obtain the necessary amount for the operation of this association, whose supplies have now multiplied. Accordingly, I have the honor to inform you that His Excellency the Grand Vizier is assisting in this. However, he requests that His Excellency the Pasha, President of the Islamic Charitable Society, address it to him so that he can present it to His Honorable and Peaceful Majesty.
