Praise be to God, the earthly and most uplifting lover, Mr. Idris al-Sarraj, may God’s peace and mercy be upon you, for the goodness of our Lord, may God grant him victory. And after that, our Lord the Caliph, may God bless him, informed us of your childhood and the childhood that continues with it. He ordered, as long as he was happy, in writing to Commander Abd al-Salam Ash’ash Ali al-Hayyani that each one of his brothers should sit around him and leave the Banu Saden with the people of Fez, not interfering between them in any way regarding the country between which the two parties are disputing, for they are in the council of the obeyed Sharia, and that he be arrested. On the children of Al-Kabir Al-Wajdi Al-Hajji, who were responsible for kindling the fire of sedition, and on love and peace, 15 Sha’ban 1280 and the runner-up of the high station in God, my relief.
