The beginning of the manuscript: He created him, shaped him, created his hearing and sight, Blessed be God, the best of creators, and from it: O God, write for me with it a reward, assign a burden for me with it, and make it a treasure for me with you, and accept it from me as you accepted it from your servant David. What is said between the two prostrations: O God, forgive me, have mercy on me, teach me, guide me, and provide for me.
The end of the manuscript: His saying, “Baqatarna” with the ḍamm al-Qāf (...) His saying, and the last of them is my sheikh, that is, my teacher (...) Al-Hawāri, may God be pleased with him, because he is the sheikh of Sidi Ibrahim Al-Tazi, may God bestow upon us their enlightenment, and they have many miracles.
