Notes
Praise be to God alone, our beloved and eminent jurist, Sir Idris al-Sarraj. May God’s peace and mercy be upon you for the goodness of our master, may God grant him victory. We have asked our master, may God bless him, to visit our master Idris the Great. May God benefit us and you, and he appointed for us a mule for that, sir, so that only I was ashamed to ask for a second, so we ask you, may God bless you, to be of good help to us in appointing a second mule to carry something we cannot do without, and for someone to ride on it, who will carry out my command and take my hand when we reach the Haram. We give it to us in your hand, there he directs it, and when we get up, another one is seen there, and God Almighty will reward you on our behalf with the best reward, and we will not accept an excuse from you, and peace and love be upon him, and on the 27th of Hajj al-Haram, completed in the year 1282, Muhammad bin Ibrahim.
