Notes
Praise be to God alone and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his family and companions, and peace be upon our beloved, the most glorious jurist, the president, the happiest minister, Ahmed Sidi Ahmad bin al-Faqih, the wise minister, Sidi (Peter), and the mercy of God, on behalf of the best of our master, Al-Mansour, in God. And after the letter of our master was received upon us, stating that His Highness, the noble and exalted one, in God’s mercy, the teacher, Hajj Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Zaradhi, complained that he had bought half a house during his term and service from us. The brackets in the company of locking up the sidewalk mosque in the other half and its thousand are subject to collapse. If he established it and fulfilled the overseers before us, it would become his reality on it, since it was not customary for them to build something similar to it, and exploitation was common previously. (Amputation) Whoever said it (Amputation) made a contract with the deputy imam of the mosque mentioned in its half, and he would pay him some of the rent and cut off some in (Amputation) its settlement at that time, our Lord, the presenter, and before the issuance of the honorable order, God called him. By preventing settlement in confinement, then despite our knowledge of what was mentioned, all of it is ours. If a binding restriction, we bind him to what they mentioned. They are now and in what way his possessions will be lost. Please explain to Your Excellency the aforementioned complainant. He was in charge of the aforementioned house and his deity during the period of service of the Syrian overseer, and he entered it. Our holy master, by God, lived in it and settled in it as well, according to what was informed of that by those with knowledge (but). When the honorable order was received by his honorable eminence, we insisted that no permission be issued from them. He fled in search of a place for someone in the future, in fact, and to search for what was rude about that, before the deputy imam of the aforementioned mosque rose up to the aforementioned complainant, asking him to leave half of the aforementioned house, claiming that the aforementioned possession of it was lost to him due to a reason, and the aforementioned Ibn Abdullah did not help him, and that was due to his invoking the legal obligation in his hand, and when the invitation between them lasted for a long time, as mentioned, they agreed that the aforementioned Ibn Abdullah would pay the entire rent to the aforementioned deputy imam, provided that the overseer of Al-Qarawiyyin wrote before the Noble Hazrat, what was not mentioned, and to act according to what our Lord deems appropriate. This happened due to the death of one of the supervisors in number and the dismissal of the other to serve as well, and the matter remained dependent on the notification of what was mentioned, and we did not issue an obligation to the aforementioned son of Abdullah in what he mentioned. Accordingly, we would like to help you, may God help you, to rectify the honorable knowledge of our Lord about this, and may God grant him the perfection of consideration. May God keep our Lord, a supporter and a victor, and may Islam and the Muslims enjoy him for the sake of his trustworthy grandfather, and for the service and the request of Salih for supplications and peace at the end of Shawwal al-Abarak in the year 1314.
