Notes: The document does not contain printing data, as well as the main approved references (Ibn al-Mahi al-Idrisi, Fawzi Abd al-Razzaq, Latifa al-Kanduz). Al-Mahdi Al-Wazzani wrote this restriction to respond to the fatwa of Sheikh Muhammad Abduh prohibiting the supplication of prophets, saints, and knowers. This fatwa was a confirmatory response to what was stated by an Egyptian “jurist” called Muhammad Musa from the locality of Farnawi in Al-Buhaira. (The text of the referendum and fatwa, of course, is in the margin of the book, respectively). |
