| Notes | Praise be to God, after Al-Arabi bin Al-Hajj Al-Hammar Al-Munai’i claimed against Mubarak bin Qasim Al-Hajji Al-Da’awani that he mutilated him with the front of his head and the file of his left hand and bloodied it, and the other claimed against him that he had stolen eight sheep from him and they quarreled from what was mentioned. I testify that each of them dropped his claim against the other because they settled on this with a complete reconciliation conclusive of every argument and dispute, acknowledging that neither of them had any ground of claim left before the other, no matter how much one of them put up. With a claim or argument that was raised for what was mentioned, they called his family and his companions so that I would make a distorted statement against them, in which he testified against them while they were in a state of imprisonment, and he recognized them, along with Al-Munai’i’s description of the black man, a bare quarter with his right nose, a trace of a small wound, and the second described an Arab quarter with a small wound on the right, a small, light-barreled wound with high cheeks, and on the twelfth of Shaban Al-Abarak in the year eighty-two, two hundred and one thousand. |
