The beginning of the manuscript: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (...) This is a collection by the scholar (...) Muhammad bin Al-Faqih (...) Abdullah Al-Masnawi Al-Bakri (...) for collecting the books of Al-Jami’ Al-Sahih by Imam Al-Bukhari (...) Praise be to the one who honored the hadith victorious *** for his sake and for my love for his knowledge as a group. Then the prayer without limitation is compared to it *** The purest greetings are to those who are most exalted and famous. Then, the intention is to enumerate the biographies from Al-Bukhari’s books in the order they mentioned.
The end of the manuscript: You received in the House of Bliss a group who knew the rights of God and the rights of the Master of the Book. May God’s blessings be upon him always and upon his companions, as per the text of the hadith. Then, peace be upon him, as long as the moon rose *** and no reader recited a hadith or narration. It ended with praise to God and His good help. Praise be to God as He deserves to be praised, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our Master Muhammad and his companions.
