40 riyals. Praise be to God. The superintendent of the villagers, the mosques and the schools at that time, the two best and trustworthy students, the muhtasib, Sidi Muhammad al-Mufaddal al-Sarraj, and the merchant, Mr. Hajj Ahmed al-Sharat, bear witness that they obtained from the land collector, Hajj Muhammad al-Fujiji, and whoever escaped what was assigned to him, he took possession of the endowments of the aforementioned confinement indicated by his graduation at the hands of his deputy, the land student, Sidi Muhammad Damma al-Shami al-Khazji, all forty riyals as possession, completely and in kind, and he was acquitted, and whoever must be released. His innocence from their aforementioned possessor was a complete innocence. They knew his worth, it was witnessed by them in their entirety and he knew them and the onlookers were erected on the twenty-ninth of Muharram al-Haram, the opener of the year one thousand three hundred and fifteen.
